2026 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Draft Guide
Every WR worth drafting in 2026, tiered by projected PPR points and ranked with honest takes on the gaps between projection and reality.
Updated Sep 8, 2026 — why?
Irv Charles: status active → inactive; Isaiah Bond: injury status Questionable → healthy
Wide receiver is deep enough in 2026 that you can win the position in the middle rounds — but the elite tier is genuinely elite, and missing on it hurts. Prioritize the top four at their natural draft cost, grab one of the volatile-but-projectable Tier 2 names as a second WR, then hunt value in the 250–220 PPR range where the ECR vs. ADP gaps are widest. Injury flags on a handful of top names (noted below) are worth monitoring right through kickoff.
All projected points are PPR (point-per-reception scoring). ECR vs. ADP figures are from FantasyPros 2026 and reflect how many spots earlier the source ranks a player versus where he's actually being drafted — a positive number means potential value.
Tier 1 — elite (339–326 projected PPR points)
Puka Nacua
The top projected wide receiver in 2026 at 339.5 PPR points, with FantasyPros forecasting 117 receptions, 1,539 yards, and 9 receiving touchdowns. He backed that ceiling up in 2025, scoring 375 PPR points in 16 games — so the projection actually runs below last season's real output. That tension is worth flagging: either 2025 was a slight outlier peak, or the model is being conservative and he's even more of a lock. Either way, he's the WR1 on projected points, carries a +1 ECR vs. ADP edge, and has the weakest strength of schedule in this tier (1/5 stars — favorable). He is listed as questionable heading into Week 1, so confirm his status before your draft if you haven't picked yet. Buy him without hesitation if he's cleared.
Ja'Marr Chase
Chase projects for 335.9 PPR points on 121 receptions, 1,511 yards, and 10.6 touchdowns — a heavier TD load than Nacua with comparable volume. His 2025 actual output was 313.6 PPR points across 17 games, so the projection represents a legitimate step up, not a repeat. FantasyPros gives him a 1/5 bust risk — lowest in the pool — and a +2 ECR vs. ADP edge. Also listed as questionable for Week 1. He plays in a strong schedule (4/5 stars) and has a bye in Week 6 to plan around. The combination of elite volume projection, low bust risk, and a favorable schedule makes him a true 1A/1B argument with Nacua.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba
JSN rounds out the elite tier at 326 projected PPR points — 111 receptions, 1,568 yards, 9.5 TDs projected. His 2025 actual was 359.9 PPR points across 17 games, which is notably higher than the 2026 projection. That's a real gap: the model sees some regression from his 2025 performance. Whether that's schedule, competition, or model conservatism, a drafter should decide how much weight to put on his actual 2025 production versus the forward projection. He enters 2026 healthy with no injury flag, carries a +1 ECR edge, and has a Week 11 bye — same as Nacua.
Tier 2 — WR1 finishers (320–270 projected PPR points)
Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown projects for 320 PPR points — 117 receptions, 1,391 yards, 10.5 TDs — and logged 324 actual PPR points in 17 games in 2025. This is the most projection-confirms-reality pairing in the pool: last season's output and the forward model are basically the same number, which means the upside is real and the bust risk (1/5, tied for lowest) is genuine. The +2 ECR vs. ADP edge adds to the case. Week 6 bye, strong schedule (4/5 stars). Lock him in as a WR1 with confidence.
Drake London
London projects for 276.3 PPR points — a big step up from his 2025 actual of 201.9 points in only 12 games. The projection essentially assumes a full 17-game season with elevated production; the 12-game 2025 sample is the main reason for caution. If he stays healthy, the +9 ECR vs. ADP edge and 4/5 upside rating suggest real value. Bust risk is 3/5 — primarily a health question, not a talent one. Week 11 bye.
CeeDee Lamb
Lamb projects for 272.5 PPR points on 97 receptions and 1,295 yards. His 2025 actual was 200.9 points in 14 games — another case where the projection leans on a full-season assumption the recent game log doesn't fully support. He carries a +3 ECR edge and a favorable 2/5 bust risk. Week 14 bye is among the latest in the pool, which is a genuine lineup asset. Treat him as a strong WR2 with WR1 upside if healthy.
Justin Jefferson
Jefferson's projection (270.9 PPR points) is the one name where the numbers demand a hard look. He projects 99 receptions and 1,311 yards, but his 2025 actual was just 201.5 points in 17 full games — a significant gap that the projection needs to bridge. The +4 ECR vs. ADP edge suggests the industry sees upside the market hasn't fully priced. His schedule is the best in this tier (5/5 stars) and he enters 2026 healthy. But a drafter should be eyes-open: his 2025 production didn't match what the model is projecting for 2026. High upside (5/5), reasonable bust risk (2/5), but the gap between last season's actual and the projection is larger here than almost anywhere else in the top half.
Tier 3 — high-end WR2s (267–237 projected PPR points)
Rashee Rice
Rice projects for 267.5 PPR points — 97 receptions, 1,069 yards, 9.6 TDs — but his 2025 actual was just 150.1 points in 16 games. That's a massive projection-versus-reality gap, and FantasyPros assigns him a 4/5 bust risk, the highest in this tier. The model is betting on a massive role expansion. Week 5 bye and a tough schedule (2/5 stars) add context. The upside is real if he takes the leap; the risk is real if he doesn't. Treat him as a high-variance WR2/3 bet, not a foundation piece.
Chris Olave
Olave projects 263.9 PPR points on 96 receptions and 1,196 yards — and his 2025 actual of 269 points in 16 games largely confirms the projection. That alignment is reassuring. He also carries the second-highest ECR vs. ADP gap in the pool at +10. Bust risk is 4/5, which is worth respecting, but the production history backs the model here more than almost anyone outside Tier 1. Week 8 bye.
A.J. Brown
Brown moved to New England and projects for 256.6 PPR points — 88 receptions, 1,234 yards, 7.7 TDs. His 2025 actual was 220.3 points in 16 games, so the projection expects a step up in his new situation. The +7 ECR edge and 5/5 upside rating are notable. Schedule is favorable (2/5 stars — low means easy). Week 11 bye. The new-team question is the only real unknown; the projection clearly believes in his role there.
George Pickens
Pickens is now on Dallas and projects 251.8 PPR points — 82 receptions, 1,200 yards, 8.4 TDs. His 2025 actual was 291.9 points in 17 games with a different team, so the projection actually comes in below his real prior output. He shares a favorable schedule with Lamb (2/5 stars) and a Week 14 bye. The +6 ECR edge is notable. If Dallas's offense feeds him at anything close to his 2025 role, he could outperform the projection.
Nico Collins
Collins projects 250.4 PPR points on 83 receptions and 1,210 yards, and his 2025 actual was 226.2 in 15 games — the projection models a full healthy season with modest growth. The +9 ECR vs. ADP edge is significant value. Bust risk is only 2/5. He's one of the cleanest value plays in this tier. Week 8 bye.
Tier 4 — boom-bust WR2/3s (243–218 projected PPR points)
Garrett Wilson
Wilson is the most extreme boom-bust case in the pool. He projects 243 PPR points — 96 receptions, 1,096 yards, 6.4 TDs — but his 2025 actual was just 99.5 points in 15 games due to a knee injury. The +11 ECR vs. ADP edge and 4/5 upside rating reflect the industry's belief in his talent. But the projection assumes a full, healthy return that his 2025 game log cannot validate. High reward, real injury risk to keep in mind. Week 13 bye.
Zay Flowers
Flowers projects 241.7 PPR points and his 2025 actual was 243.3 in 17 games — nearly identical, which is about as clean a projection confirmation as you'll find. He adds rush involvement (59 yards projected on the ground) that pads his floor. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Bust risk is only 2/5; the projection is trustworthy if he's healthy. Week 13 bye.
Malik Nabers
Nabers is a second-year player who projects for 240.9 PPR points, but his 2025 actual was just 57.1 PPR points across 17 games — one of the largest projection-vs.-reality gaps in this entire pool. The model is projecting a massive leap in Year 2. Upside is rated 4/5 and bust risk is 4/5 simultaneously — that's a coin-flip profile. Listed as questionable for Week 1. He's a dart with legitimate league-winning upside if the role emerges, but the 2025 production does not support confidence in the projection.
DeVonta Smith
Smith projects 237 PPR points on 88 receptions and 1,137 yards. His 2025 actual was 201.8 points in 17 games, so the projection asks for a meaningful step up. The +11 ECR vs. ADP edge is one of the largest in this range, and the schedule is favorable (4/5 stars). Bust risk is only 2/5 — the floor here is real. Week 10 bye.
Tetairoa McMillan
McMillan enters his second NFL season projecting 233.6 PPR points — 81 receptions, 1,145 yards, 6.6 TDs. His 2025 actual was 211.4 in 17 games as a rookie, so the projection expects continued growth. A recent article specifically noted his massive target share in Carolina, with the key variable being Bryce Young's development at quarterback. Bust risk is 3/5; the QB dependency is real. Week 5 bye.
Ladd McConkey
McConkey projects 218.2 PPR points on 79 receptions and 1,009 yards, but his 2025 actual was 180.9 in 17 games. The model sees him taking a step forward; the +12 ECR vs. ADP edge is among the widest in this range and suggests the industry sees value the market hasn't priced. A recent article specifically flagged the debate between his "elite rookie season" and "sophomore collapse" narratives. Week 7 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars).
Tier 5 — dependable WR3s (228–208 projected PPR points)
Emeka Egbuka
Egbuka is a first-year player projecting 228.2 PPR points — 73 receptions, 1,097 yards, 7.5 TDs. His 2025 actual was 195.7 points in 17 games before entering his rookie NFL season, so that's college/pre-NFL production context. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Bust risk is 3/5; the injury flag is the main near-term concern. The upside (4/5) is real in a Tampa Bay offense that projects him as a starter. Week 10 bye.
Davante Adams
Adams projects 222.2 PPR points on 69 receptions, 925 yards, and 10.2 TDs — a TD-heavy profile that carries meaningful regression risk. His 2025 actual was 222.9 points in 14 games, so the projection basically calls for same-level production. FantasyPros' own "wide receivers to avoid" content flagged that his 2025 TD total was a league high with declining yardage, a classic regression signal. Bust risk is 4/5. The upside ceiling is real at 4/5, but this is a high-variance profile for a veteran on his age curve. Shares a Week 11 bye with Nacua (same team, LAR). Tough schedule (1/5 stars — hardest in the pool).
Tee Higgins
Higgins projects 221.6 PPR points — 71 receptions, 965 yards, 9.1 TDs — and his 2025 actual was 211.6 in 15 games. The projection aligns with his real production, implying modest growth. FantasyPros rates his upside at 5/5 with only a 2/5 bust risk, which is a strong profile. Listed as questionable for Week 1. He's on Cincinnati alongside Chase (Week 6 bye) in a favorable passing offense. A clean WR3 with genuine WR2 upside.
Terry McLaurin
McLaurin projects 209.3 PPR points, but his 2025 actual was just 114.2 in 10 games. The projection is banking on a full, healthy season — his game log can't confirm it. A recent article also flagged an offensive line concern in Washington (Laremy Tunsil expected to miss significant time), which puts downward pressure on the entire passing game. Bust risk is only 2/5 per the model, but the injury history and the line concern are real. Week 7 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars).
DJ Moore
Moore projects 208.1 PPR points on 69 receptions, 905 yards, 7 TDs, plus 54 rush yards. His 2025 actual was 170.2 in 17 games, so the model projects a meaningful step up in Buffalo. He's the only player in the pool with a negative ECR vs. ADP (−1), meaning he's going slightly earlier than the consensus ranks him — a mild overvalue flag. Schedule is strong (4/5 stars). Week 7 bye.
Luther Burden
Burden is a rookie projecting 208 PPR points with rush involvement (38 yards on the ground projected). His 2025 college/pre-NFL actual was 127.9 in 15 games. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Bust risk is 4/5 — rookie receiver plus injury uncertainty is a genuine double risk. The +8 ECR vs. ADP edge suggests the model sees value the market hasn't fully priced. Week 10 bye.
Tier 6 — value picks and depth starters (205–184 projected PPR points)
Rome Odunze
Odunze projects 205.4 PPR points in his second season. His 2025 actual was 146.1 in only 13 games, so the projection leans on health and year-over-year growth. Listed as questionable for Week 1. He shares Chicago's target tree with Luther Burden, which creates internal competition to monitor. Week 10 bye.
Jameson Williams
Williams projects 217.4 PPR points — 64 receptions, 1,066 yards, 6.6 TDs — with added rush value (42 yards, 0.5 TDs on the ground). His 2025 actual was 219.9 in 17 games, essentially matching the projection. Clean confirmation between the model and real production makes him a trustworthy WR3 in Detroit's high-powered offense. Week 6 bye, favorable schedule (4/5 stars).
Jaylen Waddle
Waddle now projects 210.5 PPR points in Denver — 75 receptions, 992 yards, 6 TDs. His 2025 actual was 194.1 in 16 games (in a different situation), so the model sees a slight step up. The +13 ECR vs. ADP edge is the largest positive gap in this range, suggesting meaningful market value. Tough schedule (2/5 stars) is the main risk. Week 10 bye.
Christian Watson
Watson projects 197.2 PPR points — 58 receptions, 923 yards, 7.7 TDs — on the best schedule in the pool (5/5 stars). His 2025 actual was only 132.4 PPR points in 17 games, a significant gap that a recent article attributed to his ACL recovery; the projection assumes he's now fully healthy and reclaiming a featured role. Bust risk is 4/5 — injury history is real — but the +13 ECR vs. ADP edge and elite schedule make him a high-ceiling dart in the mid-to-late rounds. Week 11 bye.
Marvin Harrison
Harrison projects 196.3 PPR points in his second season, but his 2025 actual was just 127.8 in 13 games. The projection models a big leap that his rookie season didn't deliver. A recent piece specifically noted that his efficiency metrics point to a WR3 ceiling rather than the breakout the pre-draft hype promised. Bust risk is 4/5. Fine at his current market price, not worth overpaying. Week 14 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars).
Mike Evans
Evans now plays for San Francisco and projects 195.5 PPR points — 65 receptions, 915 yards, 6.6 TDs. His 2025 actual was only 84.8 PPR points in 14 games, a stark contrast to the projection. The model is betting on a healthy, productive season in a new offense. Listed as questionable for Week 1. The gap between the projection and last season's actual is one of the widest in this pool and should temper expectations. Week 8 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars).
Parker Washington
Washington projects 184.3 PPR points on 63 receptions and 863 yards, and his 2025 actual was 184.7 in 16 games — essentially identical. The projection confirms his role rather than assuming growth. A recent article called him a "smash the button" value as early as pick 5.03. Low bust risk (2/5) and a solid schedule (4/5 stars). Week 7 bye.
Tier 7 — late-round starters and high-variance darts (198–169 projected PPR points)
Courtland Sutton
Sutton projects 198.5 PPR points but carries the lowest upside in this section (2/5) and a 4/5 bust risk — and he's one of only two players in the pool with a negative ECR vs. ADP (−7), meaning he's going significantly earlier than the consensus ranks him. His 2025 actual of 219.7 in 17 games shows he can produce, but the model sees regression. He shares Denver's target tree with Waddle. Week 10 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars). Fade relative to his draft cost.
DK Metcalf
Metcalf projects 195.1 PPR points in Pittsburgh — 64 receptions, 926 yards, 6.1 TDs. His 2025 actual was 187.2 in 17 games, a reasonable alignment. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Bust risk is only 3/5. He's a mid-round dart with known production floor if healthy. Week 9 bye.
Michael Pittman
Pittman is on Pittsburgh alongside Metcalf and projects 190.2 PPR points — 81 receptions, 806 yards, 5 TDs. His 2025 actual was 202.4 in 17 games, which actually runs ahead of the projection; the model expects regression. The +14 ECR vs. ADP edge is one of the largest in this range, but his projection already reflects modest production. Week 9 bye. Listed as questionable for Week 1.
Wan'Dale Robinson
Robinson projects 179 PPR points in Tennessee — 80 receptions but only 3 TDs, a notably low touchdown projection. His 2025 actual was 217.9 PPR points in 17 games, which is substantially above the projection — the biggest downward projection-vs.-actual gap in the late rounds. If you believe the 2025 production more than the model, he's a value; if you trust the model, he's a fade. The +20 ECR vs. ADP edge is the largest in this tier. Week 9 bye.
Carnell Tate
Tate is a true rookie with no pro game log — his 2025 season shows 0 games played. He projects 178.3 PPR points on 65 receptions and 887 yards in Tennessee. Bust risk is only 2/5, the lowest among rookies here, and the +8 ECR edge is notable. The complete absence of NFL production means the projection is purely model-based. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Week 9 bye.
Stefon Diggs
Diggs is in Washington and projects 169.2 PPR points — 68 receptions, 761 yards, 4.2 TDs. His 2025 actual was 210.3 in 17 games, well above the projection. The model sees meaningful regression; the Washington offensive line concern (Laremy Tunsil expected to miss significant time, per a recent article) supports that caution. Upside is rated 4/5, but the TD projection is low and the pass-protection risk is real. Week 7 bye.
Quentin Johnston
Johnston projects 169.8 PPR points — 54 receptions, 756 yards, 6.9 TDs — with a TD-heavy profile and a +13 ECR vs. ADP edge. His 2025 actual was 171.2 in 15 games, closely matching the projection. He shares Los Angeles's target tree with McConkey; their Week 7 bye coincides. Tough schedule (2/5 stars).
Brian Thomas
Thomas projects 181.1 PPR points in Jacksonville alongside Parker Washington, so internal target competition is a real factor. His 2025 actual was 138.8 in 14 games, below the projection; the model assumes a step up in Year 2 with better health. Bust risk is 4/5 and upside is only 2/5 — a low-ceiling, high-risk profile. Week 7 bye.
Tier 8 — late-round depth and sleepers (191–164 projected PPR points)
Alec Pierce
Pierce projects 191.8 PPR points — 56 receptions, 975 yards, 6.4 TDs — with a 4/5 upside but the second-largest negative ECR vs. ADP gap in the pool (−7), meaning he's going earlier than the consensus likes. His 2025 actual was 183.3 in 15 games, close to the projection. Worth targeting at the right price; don't chase him up. Week 13 bye, favorable schedule (4/5 stars).
Jordan Addison
Addison projects 169.1 PPR points as Jefferson's teammate in Minnesota — which creates obvious target competition at the top of the depth chart. His 2025 actual was only 135.1 in 17 games. The model's ECR vs. ADP is essentially neutral (−1). Week 6 bye, elite schedule (5/5 stars). A fine late-round add if Jefferson is already off your board.
Xavier Worthy
Worthy projects 167.5 PPR points with significant rush involvement (101 yards projected on 15.8 carries). His 2025 actual was 109.9 in 14 games. A recent sleeper article noted a healthy shoulder and increased opportunity as the potential catalyst. The ECR vs. ADP is neutral (−1). Week 5 bye, tough schedule (2/5 stars). A late-round dart on volume — the rushing role is what separates him from pure pass-game speculations.
De'Zhaun Stribling
Stribling is a true rookie for San Francisco with zero pro game log and a questionable injury tag entering Week 1. He projects 166.5 PPR points — and carries the largest negative ECR vs. ADP in the pool (−11), meaning he's going significantly earlier than the consensus ranks him. High bust risk (4/5). Only target him if you need a stash and can absorb the downside. Week 8 bye.
Matthew Golden
Golden is a first-year player in Green Bay projecting 166.4 PPR points — 58 receptions, 780 yards, 4.6 TDs. His 2025 actual was 70 PPR points in 14 games. The +2 ECR edge and the best schedule in the pool (5/5 stars, shared with the other Packers receivers) make him worth a look late. Bust risk is 4/5 for a rookie. Week 11 bye.
Khalil Shakir
Shakir projects 164.9 PPR points in Buffalo with a +24 ECR vs. ADP gap — the largest positive edge in the entire pool, though the ceiling is rated just 2/5. His 2025 actual was 166.4 in 17 games, nearly matching the projection. He's a reliable floor play in a good offense, not an upside dart. Listed as questionable for Week 1. Week 7 bye.
Also in the mix
KC Concepcion (CLE, rookie, 164.7 projected, no pro game log) and Jakobi Meyers (JAX, questionable, 178.7 projected, 175.8 actual in 2025) round out the pool. Concepcion's +16 ECR edge is notable for a zero-cost dart; Meyers provides a reliable floor in Jacksonville's crowded receiver room but offers only 2/5 upside per the projection.
Bottom line
Target Puka Nacua, Ja'Marr Chase, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Amon-Ra St. Brown as the true elite tier — all four have projections and/or recent actual production that justify early investment, and St. Brown's 1/5 bust risk is the safest profile in the pool. In the 270–250 range, Nico Collins (+9 ECR, 2/5 bust risk) and George Pickens (projection below his 2025 actual) are the clearest values. For upside plays in the middle rounds, Garrett Wilson's +11 ECR edge is compelling if you believe in the injury recovery, and Christian Watson's elite schedule and post-ACL projection are worth a late dart. Avoid paying up for Courtland Sutton (negative ECR, 4/5 bust risk) and De'Zhaun Stribling (largest negative ECR in the pool, rookie, questionable health). The injury flags on Nacua, Chase, Tee Higgins, and Zay Flowers are the only real cloud over an otherwise deep position — track those statuses through game time.
