2026 Week 2 Fantasy Football Matchup Preview: Sunday–Monday Games
Every game on the Week 2 slate broken down for fantasy, with the injury flags, hot hands, and fades you need before locking in your lineup.
Week 1 was a record-setter for scoring, and the Week 2 slate looks just as loaded. Before you lock your lineups, here's what matters most in every game — the injury questions, the players with momentum, and the spots worth fading.
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
Injury alert: Michael Penix is listed as questionable, with his ACL recovery leaving Week 2 status genuinely uncertain. That's the first thing every Falcons skill-position owner needs to resolve before Sunday — if he's out, Atlanta's passing-game value cradles downward fast.
Regardless of QB, Bijan Robinson is the centerpiece here. He dropped 31.3 PPR points in Week 1 and is a locked-in start in every format. Drake London is a hold-and-hope if Penix plays; fade him confidently if he doesn't.
On Carolina's side, Bryce Young put up 32.4 fantasy points in Week 1 and is drawing legitimate streamer buzz. Chuba Hubbard (23.7 PPR points, Week 1) and Tetairoa McMillan (10.5) back a Panthers offense that's clearly not the pushover it was projected to be.
New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore rolled Indianapolis 41–23 in Week 1 — their offense hit 500-plus total yards and scored four touchdowns in the first five drives. They're the clear home favorite here and a great game to stack from.
Injury alert: Zay Flowers is questionable with a hamstring. He posted 26 PPR points in Week 1 but left that game early; his status is the hinge point for the entire Ravens passing game. If he plays, lock him in. If he's out, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry carry the fantasy load regardless — Henry's 35.3 PPR Week 1 puts him in the elite RB conversation right now.
New Orleans brings a dangerous counter. Chris Olave (28.2 PPR points, Week 1) is questionable — monitor that closely. Tyler Shough delivered 25.2 fantasy points in his debut. Travis Etienne gives this Saints backfield a real floor. If Olave suits up, the Saints have enough firepower to keep this game interesting; if he's out, fade the Saints passing attack against Baltimore's defense.
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
The most compelling story on the slate. Chicago dropped 59 points on Carolina in Week 1, and Caleb Williams posted 37.3 fantasy points — the Bears offense is as advertised. D'Andre Swift (32.4 PPR points) is questionable, though, and that's the most important injury flag in this game; monitor his status every hour until kickoff.
Injury alert: Kyler Murray is questionable in concussion protocol for Minnesota. If Murray is out, Carson Wentz steps in — Wentz threw for 19.2 fantasy points in Week 1 and multiple outlets identify him as a worth-a-look streamer if Murray misses. Justin Jefferson (31.2 PPR points in Week 1) remains a top-5 WR play regardless of who's under center.
Luther Burden and Rome Odunze are the Bears' secondary pass-catchers to watch. In PPR formats, both carry upside in a high-volume offense, but neither has separated as a clear must-start yet after one week.
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Injury alert: Joe Burrow is questionable. If Burrow misses this game, Chase Brown's rushing volume likely stays intact but the pass-game value around him collapses. Chase Brown (18.8 PPR points, Week 1) is worth starting regardless of QB — he's the Bengals' lead back and showed it early.
Ja'Marr Chase managed only 3.2 PPR points in Week 1, making this a potential get-right spot — but he'll face a physical battle with Derek Stingley Jr. (noted as a marquee individual matchup this week). He's too talented to fade outright, but temper the expectations. Tee Higgins (8.9 PPR points, Week 1) is the steadier floor play if Burrow suits up. Mike Gesicki had an 18.8-point Week 1 and is worth a look in TE-scarce leagues, especially in PPR formats where his reception volume matters more.
Houston counters with David Montgomery (28.9 PPR points in Week 1) and C.J. Stroud (16.5 fantasy points). Nico Collins is questionable — his absence would open more volume for the rest of Houston's pass catchers and make Montgomery the clearest target of the game.
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
Aaron Rodgers is now Pittsburgh's starting quarterback, and he posted 12.5 fantasy points in Week 1 — a floor-level game. DK Metcalf (8 PPR points) and Pat Freiermuth (15.6 PPR points) are the names to watch. Freiermuth's Week 1 performance makes him a TE2 streamer worth firing up against a Patriots defense still finding its footing.
The backfield is worth noting: Jaylen Warren (10.3 PPR points) and Rico Dowdle (4.1) split work in Week 1. Warren is the preferred PPR option given his receiving role; Dowdle's value is more format-dependent and needs volume to pay off.
New England's Drake Maye posted 12.8 fantasy points in Week 1. Rhamondre Stevenson (14.5 PPR points) is the Patriots' top skill-position play. Hunter Henry is drawing streamer-level attention at TE heading into this matchup.
Green Bay Packers at New York Jets
Christian Watson exploded for 32.7 PPR points in Week 1 — the biggest single-game output from any Packers skill player. He's a legitimate WR2 this week. Jordan Love (20.5 fantasy points) and Tucker Kraft (9.5) round out a Packers offense worth trusting. Matthew Golden (15.5 PPR points) is the sleeper name to track in case Watson draws a shadow corner.
The Jets counter with Breece Hall (19.8 PPR points) as their anchor. Hall is a strong RB2 play in all formats — even better in PPR, where his receiving work adds a reliable floor. Garrett Wilson (13.9 PPR points) is a start in PPR. Geno Smith put up only 9.3 points in Week 1; he's not a fantasy option but he doesn't need to be with this skill talent around him.
Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bucky Irving dropped 20.3 PPR points in Week 1 and is the top fantasy play in this game. He's a strong RB2 in standard leagues and a possible RB1 in PPR given his receiving role. Emeka Egbuka (11.3 PPR points) is Tampa's most reliable pass-catcher and a flex-worthy option in PPR formats.
Cleveland's Quinshon Judkins (7 PPR points in Week 1) is still finding his footing as the featured back. Denzel Boston (13.9 PPR points) is an interesting name to track on the waiver wire after a strong debut, though one week of data is very thin. Harold Fannin is a potential TE2 streamer against a Buccaneers defense that's allowable through the middle.
Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans
The Eagles are the obvious fantasy-production side of this matchup. Jalen Hurts posted 24.7 fantasy points in Week 1. Saquon Barkley (9 PPR points) is due for a stronger performance — that Week 1 number doesn't reflect his upside and this feels like a bounce-back spot. Dallas Goedert (23.7 PPR points in Week 1) is a true TE1 — start him with confidence. DeVonta Smith (8.3 PPR points) is a reliable flex in PPR.
Tennessee's Cam Ward posted 11.7 fantasy points in Week 1. Tony Pollard (4.4 PPR points) has not delivered on early-season expectations. Carnell Tate (7.8 PPR points) is worth monitoring in deeper leagues but isn't a must-start yet.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos
Trevor Lawrence led all QBs in completion percentage over expectation in Week 1 per PFF and posted 26.1 fantasy points. He's a strong QB2 and a smash streamer this week. Parker Washington (19.3 PPR points) is a high-upside WR2/flex — in PPR formats, his target share makes him a legitimate start. Injury alert: Brian Thomas is questionable; if he's out, Washington's ceiling climbs another tier. Bhayshul Tuten (9.8 PPR points) is the Jaguars' lead back and a low-end RB2.
Denver's offense was held in check in Week 1 — Bo Nix posted only 6.4 fantasy points, and J.K. Dobbins (3.6 PPR points) and Courtland Sutton (3.1) both disappointed. Evan Engram did deliver 14.3 PPR points at TE and is a streaming option, but the broader Denver offense is a fade against a Jaguars defense with a point to prove.
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers
Ashton Jeanty (32.7 PPR points in Week 1) is the lead story. He's a top-5 RB play in all formats this week — the Raiders' offense runs through him, full stop. Injury alert: Brock Bowers is questionable after missing Week 1 with a knee procedure. If he's out again, the Raiders' passing game is thin and Jeanty's rushing volume becomes even more central.
Los Angeles counters with Omarion Hampton (8.3 PPR points in Week 1) — a name with upside who hasn't popped yet but is worth the patience in PPR leagues given his receiving ability. Injury alert: Ladd McConkey is questionable with a rib issue suffered in Week 1. He scored 19.2 PPR points before leaving; if he's limited or out, downgrade the Chargers' passing attack. Justin Herbert (14.3 fantasy points in Week 1) is a reliable but unspectacular QB2 streaming option here.
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Injury alert: Sam Darnold is OUT. Drew Lock starts for Seattle. Multiple analysts flag this as a game where both offenses could struggle to score. Jaxon Smith-Njigba (26.2 PPR points in Week 1, 45.8% target share per PFF) is the clear alpha and still worth starting in PPR and half-PPR — Lock has to throw to someone, and Smith-Njigba is the obvious answer. Jadarian Price (7.8 PPR points) is the lead back and retains his floor even in a possible low-scoring environment.
Arizona's Jeremiyah Love (13 PPR points in Week 1) is a solid RB2. Trey McBride (24.5 PPR points) remains a legitimate TE1 regardless of matchup — he's one of the best at the position right now. Marvin Harrison (4.3 PPR points in Week 1) hasn't delivered on draft-day hype yet; Jacoby Brissett running this offense is a ceiling constraint on the whole Cardinals passing game, so temper expectations for everyone not named McBride.
Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys
Both offenses have fantasy-relevant weapons. CeeDee Lamb (15.4 PPR points in Week 1) is a weekly WR1 — start him confidently. Javonte Williams (24.2 PPR points) is Dallas's top RB play and carries real upside against Washington. George Pickens (5.8 PPR points) is a boom-bust WR2 who needs touchdowns to pay off; the floor is low.
Washington's Jayden Daniels (17.7 fantasy points in Week 1) is a legit QB2 streaming option with rushing upside. Jacory Croskey-Merritt (12.6 PPR points) is an interesting waiver-wire name at RB. Terry McLaurin (3.4 PPR points) had a quiet Week 1 and needs a bigger role to justify the draft capital. Injury alert: Chig Okonkwo is questionable at TE; his absence would further limit Washington's already thin passing-game options.
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco is the side to target. Brock Purdy (22.1 fantasy points in Week 1) is a QB1 this week. Mike Evans (16.9 PPR points) is off to a strong start with the 49ers and is a must-start WR2. Deebo Samuel (18 PPR points) is showing he still has juice in this offense. Christian McCaffrey (13.8 PPR points in Week 1) is always startable, though that number suggests the role may be more committee-oriented early in the season — watch snap counts.
Injury alert: George Kittle is questionable. He managed only 3.2 PPR points in Week 1. If he misses, the 49ers' TE targets scatter; if he plays healthy, his upside is significant. Injury alert: Eddy Pineiro is questionable at kicker for SF — minor for most leagues but flag it if you're streaming.
Miami's De'Von Achane (10.6 PPR points in Week 1) is a strong PPR flex — his receiving work is his calling card, and the format gap between standard and PPR is real here. Malik Willis posted 17.7 fantasy points in Week 1 with rushing floors; he's a streaming QB2 but nothing more.
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City gets to host a Colts team that got run out of Baltimore 41–23 in Week 1. Kenneth Walker (34.1 PPR points in Week 1) is the clear top play in this game — lock him in. Patrick Mahomes (22.7 fantasy points) is a reliable QB2. Rashee Rice (9.9 PPR points) is the WR1 for KC and a solid PPR flex.
Indianapolis's Jonathan Taylor (25.1 PPR points in Week 1) showed he can carry a bad offense — he's a strong RB2 play even in a potential blowout, as his receiving work helps in PPR. Tyler Warren (10.3 PPR points) is the most interesting pass-catcher on this Colts roster. Injury alert: Alec Pierce is questionable — if he's out, the Colts' passing attack is thin and Taylor's rushing volume becomes the only reliable fantasy output from this side.
New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams
The Monday game features two offenses with legit fantasy production. Puka Nacua (12.4 PPR points in Week 1, 3.74 yards per route run per PFF) leads the Rams as the WR1. Kyren Williams (15.5 PPR points) is a strong RB2 and a reliable PPR flex. Matthew Stafford (5.1 fantasy points in Week 1) was quietly bad — he's not a streaming option but his skill players can still produce.
New York's Jaxson Dart (26.6 fantasy points in Week 1) is turning heads and is a legitimate streaming QB2 on Monday night. Isaiah Likely (27.8 PPR points in Week 1) — now with the Giants — is a must-start TE1 after that explosion. Cam Skattebo (14.1 PPR points) is a solid RB2. Malik Nabers (12.9 PPR points) is the WR to start on this side. Davante Adams (5.6 PPR points) was quiet in his Rams debut and is more of a wait-and-see play right now.
