weekly recap

2026 Week 3 Fantasy Football Recap

Bijan Robinson goes nuclear, Jahmyr Gibbs scores three, and Baker Mayfield's injury reshapes the Buccaneers' season — here's everything that mattered for fantasy in Week 3.

Week 3 delivered the kind of chaos that reminds you why you love and hate this game. Bijan Robinson posted a 200-plus all-purpose yard monster, Jahmyr Gibbs scored three touchdowns, and Baker Mayfield left the building — possibly for a long time. Oh, and Case Keenum torched the Eagles in prime time. Buckle up.

Atlanta Falcons 35 at Green Bay Packers 14

The Falcons ran Green Bay over in the Thursday night opener. Bijan Robinson was the story: 29 carries, 194 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 35.3 PPR points. That's a generational performance — 11 red zone carries tells you just how locked in the Falcons were to feeding him inside. Drake London backed him up brilliantly, going 9-for-10 targets for 194 yards (28.4 PPR). The two skill players each cleared 28 fantasy points in the same game. Michael Penix delivered a 1-TD/1-INT day on 18-of-25 passing, but this win belonged entirely to the skill players.

On the Packers' side, Matthew Golden (5 catches, 100 yards, TD) and Christian Watson (7 catches, 96 yards, TD) were solid but couldn't overcome a 21-point deficit. Tucker Kraft drew 8 targets but converted just 4 for 26 yards and dropped 3 passes — a real problem. Brian Robinson scored a TD on just 10 carries in relief of Bijan, which is encouraging for goal-line depth but doesn't change Robinson's secondary status. Going forward: Bijan is locked in as a weekly smash play; Drake London is right there with him. Green Bay's offense showed enough life, but Kraft needs to clean up those drops before you can trust him in big spots.

Los Angeles Chargers 16 at Buffalo Bills 24

The Bills won, but the story leaving this game is Josh Allen's injury designation. Allen is listed as Questionable after a rough afternoon — 2 interceptions, a fumble, 4 sacks absorbed, and just 204 passing yards. He also scored twice on the ground, which kept his fantasy line at 19.46 PPR points, but this was a rough performance by his standards.

James Cook carried the Bills' offense, grinding out 154 rushing yards and a TD on 24 carries (19.4 PPR). That's the workhorse role clearly his. DJ Moore saw 10 targets but finished with just 67 yards and no score — usable but not exciting. Ty Johnson chipped in 4 catches for 50 yards as a receiving back.

For the Chargers, Justin Herbert had a forgettable day: 1 TD, 1 INT, 226 yards. He has not cracked 15 fantasy points in any game this season, and that's a problem. Ladd McConkey (4-66) and Tre' Harris (6-76) both put up serviceable lines, and Keaton Mitchell scored a TD on a small 11-carry workload, a useful bellcow-adjacent role. Going forward: Allen's health is the must-watch item for Week 4. Cook is a lock at RB1 regardless. Herbert is approaching drop consideration in deeper leagues.

Carolina Panthers 18 at Cleveland Browns 21

A low-scoring grinder that Cleveland won on the strength of Harold Fannin Jr.'s 2-TD, 7-catch, 51-yard night (24.1 PPR). That's the second straight week Fannin has been a difference-maker at tight end — treat him as a genuine starter. Deshaun Watson was serviceable (2 TDs, 144 yards passing) but did his damage on the ground (45 rushing yards, 11 carries), finishing with 20.26 PPR points. Quinshon Judkins (18 carries, 70 yards) and Raheim Sanders (4 catches, 34 yards) split the backfield with the real snap split close to even — this remains a frustrating committee.

For Carolina, Chuba Hubbard was workmanlike: 19 carries, 82 yards, 4 catches on 84.4% of snaps (15 PPR). He's clearly the lead back. Bryce Young struggled (26-of-48, 291 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 3 sacks), making Brycen Tremayne (4-83) the passing-game bright spot. Darren Waller drew 8 targets but turned just 5 into 51 yards and no score. Going forward: Hubbard is RB2-worthy in most formats. Fannin is a legitimate streamer or starter depending on your league's TE landscape. The Browns' offensive committee muddy waters remain.

New York Jets 24 at Detroit Lions 31

Jahmyr Gibbs delivered the week's single-best fantasy performance: 20 carries, 99 rushing yards, 3 total touchdowns, 7 catches for 65 yards, 41.4 PPR points. This was a dominant usage game — 27 touches, 69.2% snap share, 7 red zone carries. He's the clear RB1 in Detroit and should be treated accordingly. Jared Goff was efficient (25-of-32, 269 yards, 2 TDs), though Amon-Ra St. Brown managed only 4 catches and 19 yards despite a score.

For the Jets, Geno Smith was terrific: 31-of-37, 321 yards, 3 TDs, a fumble and an interception for 26.04 fantasy points. Garrett Wilson hit 100 yards with a TD (26.7 PPR). The biggest story was tight end Kenyon Sadiq — the first-round rookie caught 7 passes for 105 yards and a TD (23.5 PPR), taking advantage of what appears to have been extra opportunity due to injuries. Jeremy Ruckert also caught a TD, so this is a two-TE target situation worth watching. Breece Hall is now listed as Out — he played 32 snaps and produced 5.5 PPR points before his exit, and his absence immediately elevates whoever handles his receiving duties. Going forward: Gibbs is a set-and-forget RB1. Sadiq's role deserves closer attention next week. Hall's owners need to find backup plans immediately.

Houston Texans 17 at Indianapolis Colts 19

Indianapolis won the battle of field goals in a sloppy, low-scoring game. Spencer Shrader was the fantasy winner for the Colts: 4-for-4 on field goals including two from 50-plus (17 points). He is listed as Questionable, so monitor his status heading into Week 4. Tyler Warren soaked up 10 targets and 9 receptions for 55 yards (14.7 PPR), reinforcing his role as the volume TE in this offense. Josh Downs drew 11 targets (5 catches, 77 yards, 12.7 PPR). Jonathan Taylor carried 23 times for 68 yards but did not score — unimpressive efficiency at 2.96 yards per carry. Daniel Jones threw for 235 yards but fumbled twice (2 lost) and threw an interception, managing only 8.9 fantasy points.

For Houston, C.J. Stroud had a difficult afternoon: 1 TD, 167 yards, 3 sacks, 11.68 fantasy points. David Montgomery (11 carries, 33 yards) and Woody Marks (5 carries, 15 yards, 1 TD) split the work. The RB committee gives neither back a reliable floor. Going forward: Warren is a TE1. Taylor's volume is there but the efficiency is a concern. Stroud owners can only hope the line improves.

New England Patriots 6 at Jacksonville Jaguars 35

A blowout that was never close. Trevor Lawrence threw for 182 yards and 3 TDs on 19-of-29 passing (20.78 fantasy points). Bhayshul Tuten ran for 73 yards and a score on 15 carries from 48.4% of snaps (17 PPR) — and in a notable moment, Lawrence knelt at the 1-yard line on purpose to let Tuten score instead, which is the kind of story that generates great copy. Chris Rodriguez got 8 carries and a TD from just 21% of snaps. Jakobi Meyers (7-64, TD) and Parker Washington (3-40, TD) both produced, with Meyers the clear alpha at 8 targets.

New England was a disaster. Drake Maye threw 2 interceptions, fumbled twice (1 lost), and finished with 5.76 fantasy points on 199 passing yards. Rhamondre Stevenson (7 carries, 22 yards) and Mack Hollins (6 catches, 87 yards) were serviceable but operating in a lost cause. Going forward: Tuten looks like the lead back in Jacksonville. Meyers and Washington are both in play as WR streamers in the right matchups. Maye is a drop candidate in shallower leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs 24 at Miami Dolphins 10

Kenneth Walker had a big day: 18 carries, 70 rushing yards, 2 TDs (21.3 PPR). He also added a receiving score. Patrick Mahomes was clean if not spectacular (20-of-24, 246 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT), and Rashee Rice hauled in 7 catches for 88 yards. Travis Kelce finished with just 2 catches for 59 yards and a TD — low volume, but the score saved his day (13.9 PPR).

Miami's situation is grim. Malik Willis started at QB (10-of-11, 210 yards, 1 INT, 1 fumble lost, 56 rushing yards — 11 fantasy points). Ollie Gordon ran 17 times for 41 yards and a TD (14.5 PPR) and is listed as Questionable heading into Week 4. The most important Miami note is not in the box score: De'Von Achane suffered an ACL injury during the game and is out for the season. That's a season-wrecking development for his fantasy owners, and it means Gordon — health permitting — is the featured back by default. Going forward: Walker is a locked-in RB1. Achane's owners need to move fast on the waiver wire. Gordon's Questionable tag is the Week 4 question to monitor.

Tennessee Titans 7 at New York Giants 12

A low-scoring defensive game with minimal fantasy value across the board. Dominic Zvada kicked 4 field goals for the Giants and was their leading scorer. Cam Skattebo carried 20 times for 60 yards and added 3 catches for 40 yards (13 PPR, 100 combined scrimmage yards) — he's cemented as the Giants' feature back. Najee Harris ran 9 times for 52 yards but took just 22% of snaps.

The big post-game news: Jameis Winston threw for only 118 yards and 6.12 fantasy points, and the Giants traded for J.J. McCarthy from the Vikings on Monday. The Giants clearly don't trust Winston, which reshapes the QB room heading into Week 4 — and means Kyler Murray is now the unquestioned starter in Minnesota.

For Tennessee, Tony Pollard (17 carries, 74 yards, 4 catches, 13.6 PPR) was fine. Wan'Dale Robinson caught 7 balls for 57 yards and a TD (18.7 PPR) but dropped 3 passes. Cam Ward threw for just 181 yards and 1 TD on 36 attempts. Going forward: Skattebo is lockable as a featured back. Watch McCarthy's status in Minnesota — he changes the fantasy calculus for that offense. The Titans' passing game remains a mess.

Cincinnati Bengals 27 at Pittsburgh Steelers 30

Both offenses produced big fantasy numbers in a close AFC North battle. Joe Burrow was excellent: 28-of-37, 282 yards, 3 TDs, 1 fumble lost, 22.58 fantasy points. Ja'Marr Chase dominated with 9 catches for 98 yards and a TD on 12 targets (24.8 PPR). Tee Higgins complemented him with 6 catches, 90 yards, and a score (21 PPR). With both Chase and Higgins delivering on high target counts, Burrow's value is self-evident. Mike Gesicki caught all 3 of his targets for a touchdown (12.7 PPR). Chase Brown got 13 carries and 61 yards but only 8.9 PPR points — the passing game involvement was minimal.

Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers threw for 292 yards and 3 TDs (23.68 fantasy points). Jaylen Warren was the star: 17 carries, 127 rushing yards, 3 catches for 49 yards, 20.6 PPR points — his 90.3% snap share screams lead back. DK Metcalf caught a TD but finished with only 31 yards (12.1 PPR), while Roman Wilson scored on just 3 catches from 38.7% of snaps — a low-floor boom-or-bust. Ben Skowronek scored on 1 catch from a 17.7% snap share — that's the kind of unsustainable score you don't chase. Going forward: Both Bengals receivers are true WR1s. Warren looks like a locked-in RB2 or better. Skowronek's TD is noise, not signal.

Seattle Seahawks 31 at Washington Commanders 33

A shootout that Washington won on a late score. Jaxson Smith-Njigba was the week's top overall PPR scorer: 10 catches, 128 yards, 2 TDs, even threw a completion for 14 yards, for 35.36 PPR points. He drew 14 targets and was on the field for 86.6% of snaps. Sam Darnold delivered his best game of the season: 31-of-45, 379 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs — 29.66 fantasy points, the week's second-best QB total. Cooper Kupp caught a TD on just 5 targets (14.6 PPR). AJ Barner drew 9 targets and caught 5 for 69 yards (11.9 PPR), establishing himself as a legitimate TE streaming option. George Holani (5 catches, 48 yards) served as the pass-catching back out of the backfield.

Washington's Marcus Mariota threw for 183 yards and 3 TDs (20.42 fantasy points). Terry McLaurin caught 6 for 77 yards and a TD (19.7 PPR). Rachaad White scored and is listed as Questionable for Week 4 — worth monitoring given Washington's backfield situation. Going forward: Smith-Njigba is a bonafide WR1 as long as Darnold keeps playing like this. McLaurin's role looks stable. White's injury is the key Commanders story this week.

Arizona Cardinals 30 at San Francisco 49ers 36

Brock Purdy was sensational: 15-of-27, 297 yards, 4 TDs including an 80-yarder, 31.28 fantasy points — the week's top QB total. George Kittle caught 6 passes for 82 yards and 2 TDs on 7 targets (26.2 PPR). Christian McCaffrey had 15 carries for 75 yards and a TD, adding 4 catches for 41 yards (21.6 PPR). Deebo Samuel connected on an 80-yard TD catch — that's the efficiency play, not volume. Mike Evans is listed as Out — he played only 18 snaps before exiting, catching a TD on just 3 grabs. His absence going forward will open up more targets for Jordan Watkins and others in a San Francisco WR room that has already dealt with multiple injuries this season.

Arizona's Jacoby Brissett had a massive day: 38-of-52, 280 yards, 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD (25.6 fantasy points). Michael Wilson dominated with 11 catches for 89 yards and a TD on a team-high 17 targets (25.9 PPR) — that target share is elite and he deserves starting consideration. Jeremiyah Love handled 21 carries for 90 yards and caught all 5 targets for a receiving TD (21.9 PPR). Trey McBride caught 9 of 11 targets for 75 yards (16.5 PPR). Going forward: The 49ers offense is a fantasy machine — start all three of Purdy, Kittle, and McCaffrey with confidence. Evans' owners need answers fast. Wilson and Love are the Cardinals' clear fantasy options.

Minnesota Vikings 23 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16

Minnesota won, but the most important story came after the game: Baker Mayfield is listed as Out, having been sacked 6 times and suffering what appears to be a significant injury. He threw for 217 yards and 1 TD on a 50% completion rate, but the sack total is alarming. Reports indicate the Buccaneers are turning the offense over to an undrafted rookie QB, which is a nightmare for all Tampa Bay skill players. Bucky Irving (15 carries, 46 yards, 7.8 PPR) and Emeka Egbuka (5-62, 11.2 PPR) are both significant fades until further notice. Cade Otton drew 6 targets (3 catches, 56 yards) but without reliable QB play, the value evaporates.

Minnesota's Jordan Addison (5 catches, 90 yards, TD, 20 PPR) was the skill star. Aaron Jones got the full workload: 17 carries, 58 rushing yards, 5 catches for 34 yards, 14.2 PPR. Kyler Murray struggled (15-of-29, 168 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 3 sacks, 11.42 fantasy points), but now that he's the unquestioned starter following the J.J. McCarthy trade, his situation is actually cleaner. Justin Jefferson is listed as Out — he played only 7 snaps and caught just 2 passes for 32 yards before exiting. His absence is a big deal for the Vikings' offense. Going forward: Addison's role should grow with Jefferson out. Fade all Buccaneers players until the QB situation clarifies.

Baltimore Ravens 34 at Dallas Cowboys 31

A game played in Rio de Janeiro that went down to the wire — Tyler Loop hit a 56-yard field goal with 7 seconds left to win it. Derrick Henry pounded the Cowboys: 26 carries, 89 yards, 2 TDs (21.9 PPR). Lamar Jackson ran for 50 yards on 6 carries and threw for 186 yards with 2 TDs and a stellar 136.7 passer rating (20.44 fantasy points). Zay Flowers (5 catches, 84 yards, 15.4 PPR) was efficient but only played 32.8% of snaps — worth watching whether his snap share grows in coming weeks.

Dallas's Dak Prescott threw for 276 yards and 1 TD (18.94 fantasy points). CeeDee Lamb had a strong game: 7 catches for 112 yards (20.2 PPR). Javonte Williams ran for 98 yards and a TD on 19 carries (18.3 PPR). George Pickens drew 11 targets but converted just 7 for 82 yards and no score (15.2 PPR). Going forward: Henry and Jackson make Baltimore a fantasy powerhouse. Williams and Lamb are both solid RB/WR2 options. Pickens' target volume is encouraging even without the touchdown.

Las Vegas Raiders 35 at New Orleans Saints 27

A high-scoring Raiders win powered by Brock Bowers and an explosive Saints offense that still fell short. Brock Bowers caught 10 of 13 targets for 116 yards and a TD (27.6 PPR) — the week's top TE total. Kirk Cousins threw for 248 yards and 3 TDs (22.22 fantasy points). Ashton Jeanty got 19 carries but only 56 yards — not the efficient outing his owners want. Mike Washington came off the bench with only 5 carries but gained 54 yards and a TD, with a 36-yard run — keep an eye on the snap split. The Raiders' backfield remains somewhat murky.

For New Orleans, Tyler Shough had a big game: 29-of-42, 255 yards, 4 TDs (24.8 fantasy points). Chris Olave (9 catches, 107 yards, 19.7 PPR) and Juwan Johnson (8 catches, 53 yards, 2 TDs, 23.3 PPR) were both huge. Noah Fant also scored twice on 4 catches (19.3 PPR). Travis Etienne is now listed as Out — he played 37.8% of snaps for 7 PPR points before exiting, which shifts New Orleans' backfield picture significantly. Going forward: Bowers is a must-start TE1. Olave and Johnson are both in play as WR/TE streamers. Etienne's owners need to pivot immediately.

Los Angeles Rams 26 at Denver Broncos 30

Denver stunned the Rams in Sunday Night Football. Bo Nix was efficient despite only completing 50% of passes: 2 passing TDs, a rushing TD, and 2 two-point conversions for 25.14 fantasy points. Pat Bryant caught just 2 passes for 44 yards and a TD (14.4 PPR) on only 2 targets — efficient but not a reliable target hog. RJ Harvey is listed as Questionable — he played only 35.8% of snaps and produced mostly as a receiver (6 catches, 41 yards, 10.7 PPR). His snap share suggests the Broncos still have a committee situation.

For the Rams, Matthew Stafford threw for 390 yards and 2 TDs on 55 attempts, but the 4 sacks and 2 interceptions hurt — 22.9 fantasy points. Kyren Williams was superb: 15 carries, 88 yards, 6 catches for 70 yards, 21.8 PPR. Davante Adams hauled in 7 catches for 137 yards on 13 targets (20.7 PPR). Konata Mumpfield caught 4 passes for 93 yards and a TD, including a 48-yard grab (19.3 PPR) — a name to know in deeper formats. Tyler Higbee caught 8 passes for 62 yards and a TD on 11 targets (20.2 PPR). Going forward: Kyren Williams and Adams are locked-in starters. Higbee is a solid TE1. Harvey's situation needs clarity before Week 4.

Philadelphia Eagles 7 at Chicago Bears 27

Monday Night Football produced the week's biggest upset. Case Keenum — the Bears' third-string quarterback — started due to injuries to Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent, and he delivered: 24-of-34, 247 yards, 2 TDs, a rushing TD, 24.48 fantasy points. Kalif Raymond went off: 6 catches, 90 yards, and a 41-yard TD catch (21 PPR). Luther Burden led the team in targets (11) and produced 7 catches, 61 yards, and a TD (19.8 PPR). D'Andre Swift ran for 84 yards on 20 carries (10.8 PPR).

The Eagles were bad. Jalen Hurts managed 153 passing yards, 1 rushing TD, 2 interceptions, and 2 sacks for 13.62 fantasy points. Saquon Barkley ran for 82 yards on 15 carries but didn't score (9 PPR). DeVonta Smith (6-65) was fine but scoreless. Going forward: This game was a matchup-specific outlier for Chicago — Keenum is not your QB1. Don't overreact to Raymond or Burden's big nights in terms of long-term projections. Barkley's owners should relax — the Eagles will bounce back. Watch Hurts' situation closely; if the offense doesn't improve, his fantasy ceiling compresses.
