2026 Week 4 Panthers Injury Report: Bryce Young Practices, Coker and Legette Sit Out
Young's knee held up through Wednesday's walkthrough, but both starting wideouts remain in doubt.
According to ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), Panthers QB Bryce Young was a full participant in Wednesday's practice — listed as such on the injury report with a knee designation — after being checked out by trainers during last Sunday's loss to the Browns and going for further tests the following day. The good news: he was on the field. The caveat: Wednesday's session was only a walkthrough, so his full-participant listing is an estimation rather than a true practice rep.
Bryce Young
Young's status is trending in the right direction, and he carries no injury designation beyond appearing on the report. Until we see how he moves through a full-practice session later in the week, there's still a sliver of uncertainty — but nothing in the source story suggests he's at serious risk of missing Sunday. Start him with normal expectations, and monitor the Thursday and Friday reports.
Jalen Coker
Coker sat out Wednesday's walkthrough with a quad injury and is listed as questionable. Per a separate recent report, John Metchie III stepped up with an expanded role — including a touchdown — when the receiver room was thinned out against Cleveland. If Coker can't go again this week, Metchie is the immediate beneficiary and the name to add off the waiver wire (the pool of unclaimed players available to pick up each week). Coker owners need Thursday and Friday injury reports before making lineup decisions.
Xavier Legette
Legette also sat out Wednesday with a knee injury and is questionable. He was already inactive against the Browns with the same issue, per recent reporting. Two straight weeks of limited availability is a real concern. Like Coker, his absence funnels targets toward Metchie — and potentially other depth options — so dynasty managers in particular should be watching whether this knee issue drags into a longer absence. Don't count on Legette this week without a clear practice upgrade later in the week.
The Coker-Legette connection is the sharpest fantasy angle here: both starters are dinged at the same time, which makes Metchie a legitimate streaming option at WR if either or both are ruled out. Keep an eye on Carolina's final injury designations.
