2026 Week 8 Fantasy Football: Braelon Allen and Breece Hall Injury Update
Allen practiced fully Thursday and looks good to go; Hall is still limited with a quad injury, keeping the Jets backfield murky heading into Week 8.
According to ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), Jets running back Braelon Allen upgraded to full participation Thursday after being limited with an ankle injury Wednesday. Breece Hall, meanwhile, has been limited in both of this week's practices with a quad injury — and per a separate recent report, Hall missed Week 7 entirely. Both players remain listed as questionable for Week 8.
Braelon Allen
Full practice participation Thursday is a strong sign Allen suits up in Week 8. If he does, he's the likely lead back given Hall's continued limitations. In PPR formats (points per reception), Allen's involvement in the passing game makes him a usable option if he's confirmed active before Sunday. Dynasty managers should feel better after any health scare — moving from limited to full in one day is a clean trajectory.
Breece Hall
Hall has been limited both days this week, and the recent news snippet confirms he was inactive for Week 7 — his third straight miss at that point. That's a real concern. If he's limited again Friday and draws another questionable tag, the Week 7 precedent suggests he could sit again. Don't start Hall in redraft leagues without a clean Friday practice report. The quad injury has already cost him multiple weeks; assume the Jets are being cautious until the final injury report says otherwise.
The two players are directly connected here: Allen's health is the upside story precisely because Hall's absence has created the opportunity. If both are out or severely limited, Isaiah Davis would be next in line for touches — he's averaging five touches and 13.9% of snaps across seven games this season, which is a thin workload but the closest thing to a handcuff option behind the two starters on the depth chart.
