2026 Week 8 Fantasy Football: Jeremiyah Love Returns to Practice
The Cardinals rookie is back on the field in limited fashion, but his Week 8 status remains unclear — and Tyler Allgeier has his own injury concern.
According to ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love returned to practice Wednesday in a limited capacity. He hadn't practiced since October 9 due to a sprained left ankle, which sidelined him for the past two games. He's currently listed as questionable.
Jeremiyah Love
Love is back on the field, but "limited" is doing a lot of work here — this is his first practice in nearly three weeks, and the Cardinals haven't given any indication he'll play Sunday. The third overall pick was already dealing with a right ankle injury from the preseason before spraining his left ankle in October, so the ankle situation as a whole warrants caution. Hold him in redraft, but don't count on him for Week 8 unless his practice participation escalates meaningfully by Friday.
Tyler Allgeier
Here's the wrinkle: Allgeier, one of Love's primary replacements over the past two games, sat out Wednesday's practice entirely with a toe injury. That's a concern for his own Week 8 availability. If both Love and Allgeier are limited or out, Zonovan Knight — who's averaged 7.5 touches and 3.5 targets per game across seven appearances this season — would be next in line for the bulk of the backfield work. Knight is a strong waiver wire target (players claimed off the free-agent pool to fill roster needs) in deeper leagues if Allgeier's status deteriorates. Evan Hull is also on the depth chart but has no meaningful usage data this season, so temper expectations there.
The bottom line: monitor Friday's practice reports closely. Love's trajectory and Allgeier's toe injury are directly linked for your Week 8 lineup decisions.
