2026 Week 8 Fantasy Football: Titans Injury Report — Carnell Tate, Tyjae Spears, Calvin Ridley
Three Titans offensive players missed or were limited at Wednesday's practice, clouding Tennessee's Week 8 fantasy outlook.
According to ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), the Titans held Wednesday's practice without four players, including three with direct fantasy relevance: rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate (shoulder), running back Tyjae Spears (knee), and — listed as limited — wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hip). Tate and Spears are new additions to the injury report; Ridley is appearing for the second consecutive week.
Carnell Tate
Tate is a new name on the injury report after picking up a shoulder issue in last week's loss to the Browns, where he caught five passes for 69 yards. ProFootballTalk notes he visited the sideline medical tent in the fourth quarter but missed only one play before returning — encouraging context, but a DNP on Wednesday still warrants attention heading into the week. If he's limited or out Sunday, Wan'Dale Robinson (averaging 6.1 targets per game across seven weeks) would be next in line for a target bump, with Elic Ayomanor as a secondary option at 3.0 targets per game. Neither is a must-start, but Robinson becomes a legitimate flex consideration if Tate sits.
Tyjae Spears
Spears is now on the injury report for a third straight week with his knee, and he didn't practice Wednesday. He's already listed as Questionable. The good news for Titans RB usage is that Tony Pollard — listed as the depth-chart leader — is averaging 17.6 touches per game in seven appearances and has no current injury designation. If Spears misses time, Pollard would absorb the bulk of the backfield work. Julius Chestnut and Nicholas Singleton are also on the roster, though neither has meaningful usage data to project from.
Calvin Ridley
Ridley was limited Wednesday with a hip injury — his second straight week on the report. He's listed as Questionable. This is a situation to monitor through the week; a second consecutive limited practice would raise real start/sit questions. If Ridley's availability is in doubt, Robinson again is the most established alternative, given his 6.1 average targets per game lead all Titans receivers in the potential beneficiary pool. Tate's own uncertain status complicates the picture further — the Titans' receiver room as a whole carries more risk this week than usual.
