2026 Week 8 Fantasy Football Breaking News: Dolphins Elevate Zane Gonzalez
Miami officially activates Gonzalez for Sunday's game, confirming him as the team's kicker heading into Week 8.
According to ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), the Miami Dolphins elevated kicker Zane Gonzalez and edge rusher Max Llewellyn to the active roster for Sunday's game.
Zane Gonzalez
Gonzalez is your streaming kicker in Miami — lock him in with confidence. He joined the Dolphins' practice squad on Oct. 20 and handled kicking duties in last week's win over the Jets, converting all four extra points. The source story also notes he went 19-of-22 on field goals and 17-of-18 on extra points across nine games for Atlanta last season, so the accuracy has been there.
Miami replaced Riley Patterson with Gonzalez, and this elevation confirms he holds the job heading into Week 8. No injury concern is listed. If you're desperate at kicker on the waiver wire (the free-agent pool of players not yet on a fantasy roster), Gonzalez is a viable plug-in.
