2026 Week 7 Fantasy Football Bye Week Alert

Buffalo, Jacksonville, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington are all off in Week 7 — start planning your replacements now.

Four teams sit out in Week 7: the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders. That's a heavy hit at multiple positions, so now — not Thursday night — is the time to figure out your replacements.

Players on bye

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen (QB, 367.1 projected PPR points) is the headliner — he just put up 210 passing yards and 121 rushing yards in a primetime OT win over the Rams, so his managers feel this one. James Cook (RB, 255.1 projected) and Khalil Shakir (WR, 134.1 projected) are the other key starters to replace. DJ Moore is already listed as out, so that wound was open before the bye. Dalton Kincaid (TE, 128.2 projected) and kicker Tyler Bass round out the fantasy-relevant absences.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence (QB, 311.7 projected) leads a full Jaguars blackout. Bhayshul Tuten (RB) is worth noting — recent recaps flagged his rising stock. Parker Washington (WR, 163.1 projected) and Brian Thomas (WR, 144.9 projected) both miss Week 7, as do tight ends Brenton Strange (122.7 projected) and kicker Cam Little, who hit the walk-off field goal in London last week.

Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert (QB, 303.4 projected) is out on a Chargers team that is reportedly off to an 0-5 start — rough time to also lose your bye-week fill-in window. Ladd McConkey (WR) is listed as questionable with a foot injury and never played in Week 5 despite being active, so his Week 8 status bears watching. Omarion Hampton (RB, 224.4 projected) has appeared in Week 5 "fallers" coverage, so check his role before assuming he bounces back. Quentin Johnston is already out.

Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels (QB, 312.6 projected) had an eventful Week 5 — a 38-yard rushing TD, plus a clock-management blunder at the end of overtime that made headlines. Terry McLaurin (WR, 168.6 projected) and Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB, 140.2 projected) are the other key starters down. Stefon Diggs is already listed as out. Rachaad White (RB) and Chig Okonkwo (TE) fill out the depth.

Streaming options

Availability will vary by league size and format — check your own waiver wire before targeting anyone below. Every candidate here has a confirmed favorable Week 7 matchup; the defense rank shown is how many fantasy points that opponent allows to the position this season, ranked among all 32 teams (rank 1 = most generous).

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers draws the Saints in Week 7 — New Orleans ranks 16th in points allowed to QBs, which isn't elite, but he's the best streaming QB option available here and carries a 230.1 season projection. He's also the hottest name on the waiver wire right now: 255,704 adds on Sleeper in the last 48 hours. That level of add activity tells you everyone else in your league already knows. If he's available, grab him immediately.

Running back

AJ Dillon

Dillon gets Tampa Bay in Week 7, and the Buccaneers rank 6th in PPR points allowed to running backs — a genuinely good matchup. His 90.8 season projection is a floor-setter for a back who should see a workload bump in a favorable spot.

Samaje Perine

Perine faces Baltimore in Week 7, which isn't as clean as the Tampa matchup (Ravens rank 14th), but 141,912 Sleeper adds in the last 48 hours signal real manager interest. Worth a look in deeper leagues.

Emanuel Wilson

Wilson draws Kansas City, which ranks 13th in points allowed to RBs — a middle-of-the-road matchup, but 71,469 adds on Sleeper suggest he's earned some opportunity. Check his role before rostering.

Wide receiver

Kayshon Boutte

Boutte gets the Giants in Week 7 — New York ranks 5th in PPR points allowed to wide receivers. That's a smash matchup on paper, and Boutte's 113.0 season projection gives him enough ceiling to start in WR-needy lineups.

Keenan Allen

Allen faces Minnesota, which ranks 7th in points allowed to WRs. He's logged 182.7 PPR points last season and projects for 112.4 this year, and 110,996 adds on Sleeper confirm managers are paying attention. The matchup is real and the add count backs it up — lock him in if he's on your wire.

Calvin Ridley

Ridley gets Cleveland in Week 7 — the Browns rank 9th in points allowed to WRs. His 120.7 projection makes him the highest-ceiling receiver on this list matchup-adjusted, and after a down 2025 (47.3 total PPR points in 14 games), a soft matchup is exactly what he needs to bounce back.

Jerry Jeudy

Jeudy also faces Tennessee, which ranks 10th in points allowed to WRs alongside Bub Means. He projects for 120.2 PPR points this season — similar ceiling to Ridley — and has recent waiver wire buzz backing him up.

Bub Means

Means shares the Tennessee matchup with Jeudy (10th in WR points allowed). His 106.5 projection is the floor of this WR group, but the matchup is legitimate. Best for very deep leagues or 2-WR emergency situations.

Tight end

Zach Ertz

Ertz gets Dallas in Week 7 — the Cowboys rank 7th in PPR points allowed to tight ends. He's projected for 126.4 points this season and matched that exactly in 2025. Reliable volume, good matchup. Start him.

Darren Waller

Waller faces Tampa Bay (11th in TE points allowed) and has drawn waiver wire attention — 98,559 Sleeper adds in the last 48 hours. His 94.1 projection is modest, but the matchup is favorable and the add spike is a real signal worth acting on.

Pat Freiermuth

Freiermuth draws New Orleans in Week 7, and the Saints rank 12th in points allowed to tight ends. His 103.9 projection makes him the second-highest-ceiling TE on this list. Solid streamer in a soft enough spot.

Darnell Washington

Washington also faces New Orleans (same 12th-ranked TE matchup as Freiermuth). His 68.2 projection is a ceiling, not a floor — this is a deep-league-only or emergency option only.

Gunnar Helm

Helm gets Cleveland, which ranks 14th in TE points allowed — the weakest matchup in this group. Best in very deep leagues with no better options available.

Kicker

Ryan Fitzgerald

The top kicker matchup this week: Fitzgerald faces Tampa Bay, which ranks 1st in fantasy points allowed to kickers this season. That's the best possible matchup at the position. Grab him.

Will Reichard

Reichard gets Indianapolis (2nd in kicker points allowed). He projects for 130.8 points this season — highest of any kicker on this list — and already hit a 40-yarder in Week 5. Strong plug-in option behind Fitzgerald.

Joey Slye

Slye faces Cleveland (3rd in kicker points allowed). He's a reliable fallback if Fitzgerald and Reichard are off the board.

Dominic Zvada

Zvada draws Houston (4th in kicker points allowed). Solid matchup for a streaming spot in leagues that require a kicker.

Andre Szmyt

Szmyt faces Tennessee (6th in kicker points allowed). He's the bottom of this group but still a legitimate streamer if the top four are gone.
