2026 Week 1 Fantasy Football Recap

Week 1 of 2026 was a fantasy feast — touchdowns flew, a few stars got hurt, and at least one offense dropped 59 points. Here's every game, every key performer, and what you need to know heading into Week 2.

New England Patriots 10 at Seattle Seahawks 13

A low-scoring Thursday night opener that felt exactly as ugly as a 13-10 game should. Seattle's offense was limited, which caps what was already a modest fantasy output across the board.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the clear winner: 8 catches for 122 yards and a 45-yard touchdown catch on 11 targets (26.2 PPR points). He was the entire passing game. Drew Lock was efficient in a game-manager role — 187 yards, one TD, 72.7% completion rate — but this offense didn't need him to do more than hand the win over.

Jadarian Price handled the starter role but was kept off third downs and out of the red zone, per reports — 10 carries, 52 yards. The role is real but limited until the coaching staff opens the door further. Brady Russell and Cooper Kupp barely registered.

On the Patriots side, Rhamondre Stevenson was the workhorse with 18 carries and five catches (14.5 PPR), but the Patriots managed just 10 points, which tells you everything. Drake Maye threw three interceptions against one touchdown — ugly — though he did add 47 rushing yards. A.J. Brown left with an ankle injury that is now reported as more serious than initially feared, with Brown expected to miss at least some time. That's the biggest takeaway from this game: Mack Hollins stepped up with four catches and led the receivers in snaps after Brown's exit. Monitor Brown's status closely — this affects the entire New England passing game outlook.

Looking ahead: JSN looks locked in as a true WR1. Price owners should be patient but realistic about the red-zone and third-down role limitations. Hollins is a waiver add if Brown misses significant time.

San Francisco 49ers 27 at Los Angeles Rams 7

The 49ers dominated the Thursday night international game, and fantasy managers on the winning side were happy. The Rams were a disaster.

Brock Purdy was solid — 205 yards, 3 TDs, 73.5% completion — and earned 22.1 fantasy points. Deebo Samuel had a nice all-around day (6 catches, 48 yards, TD, plus kick return yards) for 18 PPR points. Mike Evans led the receivers in snaps and caught 6 passes for 49 yards and a score (16.9 PPR). Christian McCaffrey got 10 carries and 5 targets but didn't find the end zone — 13.8 PPR points is fine but below the ceiling for a player of his draft cost. Demarcus Robinson chipped in a 39-yard TD catch off 41 snaps (13 PPR), worth monitoring as a depth piece.

The Rams were rough. Matthew Stafford finished with just 5.1 fantasy points — 155 yards, 1 INT, 60% completion, and a 61.2 passer rating. That's a bad day at the office. Kyren Williams was the lone bright spot with 41 rush yards, a TD, and 3 catches (15.5 PPR). Puka Nacua and Davante Adams combined for just 100 yards and zero scores on 15 targets between them. Blake Corum added 54 rush yards in a backup role.

Looking ahead: SF's offense looks capable of putting up points. The Rams need answers fast — Stafford owners should worry, and Adams at 5.6 PPR points is a "wait and see" situation at minimum.

Chicago Bears 59 at Carolina Panthers 37

Fifty-nine points. Chicago's offense went nuclear and produced one of the great fantasy games of recent memory.

Caleb Williams finished with 37.26 fantasy points — 269 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 65 rushing yards, and 2 rushing TDs. Per PFF, Williams earned a 64.0 passing grade despite the eye-popping box score, with his accurate-throw rate well below expectations. The raw production is real. The efficiency underneath it is something to watch. D'Andre Swift was an absolute monster: 18 carries, 124 yards, 3 rushing TDs (32.4 PPR). That is a locked-in RB1 role being executed at the highest level. Kyle Monangai added 10 carries, 100 yards, a TD, and 2 catches for 20.4 PPR — a clear handcuff worth rostering. Kalif Raymond led the receivers with 8 catches for 84 yards on 9 targets (16.4 PPR). Cole Kmet caught a TD and added 35 yards (11.5 PPR).

Carolina gave fantasy managers plenty back in the blowout. Bryce Young finished with 32.44 fantasy points — 361 yards, 3 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD. The volume was enormous. Jalen Coker went off with 8 catches, 138 yards, and 2 TDs (33.8 PPR). ⚠️ Injury alert: Coker is listed as Questionable after the game — this is the most important injury to monitor coming out of the Bears-Panthers game. If he misses time, Carolina's passing-game value takes a significant hit. Chuba Hubbard scored twice (23.7 PPR) and Tetairoa McMillan caught 5 passes for 75 yards (10.5 PPR). Jonathon Brooks had a quiet 13 off the bench.

Looking ahead: Chicago's offense is a fantasy goldmine — start Swift and Williams with confidence. Carolina showed life in a blowout loss, but the Coker injury situation will dictate whether that passing-game upside is real in Week 2.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27 at Cincinnati Bengals 33

The Bengals held on at home in what turned into a fantasy-friendly shootout.

Evan McPherson was the kicker of the week — 4 for 4 on field goals including two 50-plus-yarders, totaling 19 fantasy points. Mike Gesicki led the Bengals pass-catchers: 5 catches, 78 yards, 1 TD, on 7 targets (18.8 PPR). Chase Brown carried the load at RB with 16 carries, 56 yards, 1 TD, and 5 catches (18.8 PPR). Samaje Perine carved out a backup role (18 snaps) with 5 carries and 3 catches. Joe Burrow was serviceable — 25 of 35, 254 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT — for 15.16 fantasy points. Tee Higgins caught 3 of 6 targets for 59 yards but no TD (8.9 PPR), leaving a little on the table.

Tampa's side: Baker Mayfield threw for 216 yards with 82.1% completion but lost three fumbles — a nightmare turnover game that limited his value (11.64 points). Bucky Irving was the best fantasy piece with 8 carries, 45 yards, 1 TD, and 7 catches on 7 targets (20.3 PPR). Emeka Egbuka caught 5 of 6 targets for 63 yards (11.3 PPR). Chris Godwin was quiet at 4 catches/40 yards (8.3 PPR).

Looking ahead: Gesicki looks like a legitimate TE1 in this offense. Chase Brown's 16-carry workload with red-zone touches confirms the lead-back role. Mayfield owners need the fumbles to stop — badly.

New Orleans Saints 30 at Detroit Lions 31

An instant classic that came down to the wire. Detroit escaped, but the fantasy production on both sides was exceptional.

Jahmyr Gibbs was the fantasy engine for Detroit: 29 carries, 156 yards, 2 TDs, 5 catches (33.6 PPR). That's the bell-cow usage everyone wanted from him. Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 10 passes on 14 targets for 67 yards and 2 TDs (28.7 PPR) — the target volume is real. Jared Goff put up 16.44 points on 206 yards and 2 TDs. Jameson Williams caught 4 of 9 targets for 45 yards but no score (8.5 PPR) — three drops on the day are a concern. Sam LaPorta had 5 catches for 48 yards (9.8 PPR).

New Orleans kept it interesting with a massive offensive output from Tyler Shough: 410 yards, 3 TDs, but also 2 INTs, 2 fumbles, and 5 sacks taken (25.2 points). That's enormous volume but also enormous chaos. Chris Olave was the story of the game — 10 catches on 13 targets for 182 yards (28.2 PPR). He was open all day. Devaughn Vele added 7 catches, 69 yards, 1 TD (19.9 PPR). Travis Etienne caught 7 passes but rushed only 9 times — 14.8 PPR points with no TD. Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant each scored, spreading the tight end targets around.

Looking ahead: Olave looks like a volume monster in this offense — lock him in. Shough's turnover issues are real but the passing volume is sky-high. Gibbs and St. Brown are both locked in as elite fantasy starters.

Buffalo Bills 36 at Houston Texans 31

A high-scoring Bills win keyed by a spectacular performance from Josh Allen.

Josh Allen put up 35.66 fantasy points — 334 yards, 2 passing TDs, 2 rushing TDs, on only 29 attempts. He was efficient and dangerous. DJ Moore caught 5 passes for 100 yards and a TD (21 PPR) — a strong debut. Dalton Kincaid was excellent: 5 catches, 130 yards on 6 targets (18 PPR). That 21.7 average per reception is a sign of major efficiency. James Cook carried 13 times for 57 yards with 3 catches but no TD (9.9 PPR) — solid but the score column was quiet. Joshua Palmer caught a TD in limited snaps (10.4 PPR).

Houston was competitive. David Montgomery was the standout: 20 carries, 60 yards, 2 rushing TDs, 1 receiving TD (28.9 PPR). That's RB1 production. Nico Collins caught 7 of 10 targets for 75 yards and a TD (21.2 PPR). C.J. Stroud threw for 274 yards and 2 TDs but also lost 2 fumbles (16.46 points). Dalton Schultz saw 8 targets but finished with just 7.5 PPR points — a drop hurt him.

Looking ahead: Allen owners are in great shape — this is an elite fantasy QB. Kincaid's target efficiency is encouraging. Montgomery looks like a legitimate RB1 in Houston's offense.

Baltimore Ravens 41 at Indianapolis Colts 23

Baltimore dominated, producing a fantasy feast on the ground and through the air.

Derrick Henry was the top fantasy RB scorer of the week: 24 carries, 144 yards, 3 rushing TDs (35.3 PPR). That's an all-time type of performance, and it came against a Colts defense that had no answer. Lamar Jackson was efficient and explosive — 324 yards, 1 passing TD, 1 rushing TD, on only 25 attempts (24.96 points). Zay Flowers had 5 catches for 150 yards and a score before exiting with a hamstring injury. ⚠️ Injury alert: Flowers is listed as Out — his status is the most critical injury to come out of this game. He was on pace for a massive day. Mark Andrews contributed 4 catches for 49 yards (8.9 PPR) while Chris Moore turned 1 catch into 53 yards on a deep ball.

Indianapolis showed life. Jonathan Taylor ran for 98 yards and 2 TDs on 19 carries (25.1 PPR). Tyler Warren caught 3 passes and scored. Daniel Jones was inefficient (10.04 points). Alec Pierce caught 4 of 6 targets for 61 yards — ⚠️ Pierce is listed as Questionable coming out of this game.

Looking ahead: Henry and Jackson are the most dangerous fantasy duo in football right now. With Flowers out, Baltimore's passing targets will need to be redistributed — Andrews and others figure to see more opportunity in Week 2.

Cleveland Browns 10 at Jacksonville Jaguars 34

Jacksonville's passing game demolished a struggling Browns defense, and Trevor Lawrence was masterful: 18 of 23, 245 yards, 4 TDs, 150.6 passer rating (26.1 points). Only 23 attempts, but every one counted.

Parker Washington caught 5 passes for 83 yards and a TD on 6 targets (19.3 PPR). Jakobi Meyers caught both his targets, scoring once (12.2 PPR). Brenton Strange (10.3 PPR) and Josh Cameron (10 PPR) each added a TD. Jacksonville spread it around in a dominant win.

Cleveland had nothing going. Deshaun Watson put up 15 fantasy points on 205 yards and 1 TD, but took 5 sacks. Denzel Boston caught a 46-yard TD for 13.9 PPR. Quinshon Judkins (7 PPR) and KC Concepcion (7.8 PPR) were quiet. Jerry Jeudy managed just 4.6 PPR points.

Looking ahead: Lawrence and Washington both look like strong starters. Jaguars' pass catchers are worth monitoring as the season continues — this offense can move. Cleveland's offense is a fantasy wasteland for now.

Atlanta Falcons 13 at Pittsburgh Steelers 20

A low-scoring defensive game with minimal fantasy excitement, except for one player on each side.

Bijan Robinson was excellent despite the loss: 21 carries, 83 yards, 8 catches on 10 targets for 90 yards, 1 TD (31.3 PPR). That's a full-game workload at the highest level. Cooper Rush was brutal — 2 interceptions, 4 sacks taken, 51.9 passer rating (7.72 points). Drake London was limited to 4 targets and 29 yards (5.5 PPR). Brian Robinson got 9 carries in a backup role (3.1 PPR).

Pittsburgh won on defense more than offense. Aaron Rodgers went 24 of 40 for 221 yards and 1 TD (12.54 points) — low-volume and quiet. Jaylen Warren was the best Steelers skill piece: 10 carries, 46 yards, 5 catches, 1 fumble lost (10.3 PPR). Pat Freiermuth caught 5 passes for 46 yards and a TD (15.6 PPR). DK Metcalf caught 4 of 10 targets for 40 yards and no score (8 PPR) — 10 targets is encouraging even without the TD. Michael Pittman caught 3 of 3 for 58 yards (8.8 PPR).

Looking ahead: Bijan Robinson is a legitimate RB1 in PPR regardless of the game script. Freiermuth looks like a TE you can trust with this volume. Metcalf's target share is encouraging — the touchdown will come.

New York Jets 23 at Tennessee Titans 10

The Jets won comfortably. Breece Hall logged the bell-cow role: 22 carries, 102 yards, 1 TD, 2 catches (19.8 PPR). That's the workhorse usage Jets fans wanted. Garrett Wilson caught 6 passes for 79 yards on 7 targets (13.9 PPR). Adonai Mitchell added 3 catches for 60 yards (9 PPR) on only 3 targets — hyper-efficient when targeted. Geno Smith was steady without throwing a TD (9.3 points) — the lack of passing TDs caps his fantasy ceiling. Kenyon Sadiq punched in a rushing TD (11.4 PPR).

Tennessee's offense was thoroughly bottled up. Cam Ward managed 140 yards and 1 TD on 32 attempts (11.7 points). Wan'Dale Robinson caught 5 passes for 38 yards (8.8 PPR) and Carnell Tate had 4 catches for 38 yards. Elic Ayomanor caught a TD in limited work (8.1 PPR). Gunnar Helm led the TE room with 4 catches for 28 yards.

Looking ahead: Hall is a must-start every week this role is locked in. Wilson and Mitchell both offer upside. Tennessee's offense looks limited — fade their skill players in tough matchups.

Arizona Cardinals 26 at Los Angeles Chargers 14

Arizona won behind a strong two-way performance from their offense. Trey McBride feasted: 9 catches on 13 targets for 95 yards and a TD (24.5 PPR). He's the focal point of this offense and delivered. Kendrick Bourne caught 8 of 8 targets for 75 yards (15.5 PPR) — efficient volume. Jeremiyah Love ran 11 times for 41 yards and a TD (13 PPR). Jacoby Brissett was competent — 277 yards, 1 TD, 72.97% completion (16.48 points). Michael Wilson added 5 catches for 56 yards.

LA's offense struggled to get going. Ladd McConkey was the standout despite the loss: 5 catches for 82 yards and a TD (19.2 PPR). ⚠️ Injury alert: McConkey suffered a rib injury and is listed as Questionable for Week 2 — a key concern for Chargers pass-game managers. Justin Herbert finished with 14.26 points on 209 yards and 1 TD. Omarion Hampton ran 12 times for 43 yards and a TD but fumbled once (8.3 PPR). David Njoku caught 5 passes for 58 yards (10.8 PPR).

Looking ahead: McBride is a top-3 TE in fantasy. McConkey's injury is the most pressing Week 2 concern from this game — monitor his status closely. Hampton has the lead-back role but the fumble is a problem.

Miami Dolphins 13 at Las Vegas Raiders 27

The Raiders upset the Dolphins behind a historic debut from their rookie. Ashton Jeanty delivered immediately: 23 carries, 102 yards, and — here's the kicker — 6 catches on 6 targets, 45 yards, 2 receiving TDs (32.7 PPR). The receiving touchdowns were the difference. Kirk Cousins threw for 160 yards and 3 TDs but also 2 INTs (15.8 points). Jack Bech caught 3 passes for 23 yards and a TD (11.3 PPR).

Miami was a mess. Malik Willis ran a touchdown and threw for 220 yards but also tossed an INT, lost a fumble, and took 5 sacks (17.7 points) — the running TD saved him. Caleb Douglas led the receivers with 5 catches for 94 yards (14.4 PPR) and is a waiver wire name to know. De'Von Achane managed 11 carries and 4 catches for 66 combined yards (10.6 PPR) — quiet, especially with no TD.

Looking ahead: Jeanty looks like a legitimate RB1 after Week 1. Douglas is worth a waiver claim if available. Achane needs a TD to hit his ceiling — the role is there, the end-zone work needs to follow.

Green Bay Packers 22 at Minnesota Vikings 39

Minnesota dominated in a game full of fantasy production on both sides. Justin Jefferson was exceptional: 8 catches on 9 targets, 92 yards, 2 TDs, plus a 2-point conversion (31.2 PPR). Carson Wentz was efficient — 133 yards, 3 TDs on only 19 attempts, plus a 2-point pass — finishing with 19.22 points. Jordan Mason carried 15 times for 59 yards and a TD (11.9 PPR), but ⚠️ Mason is listed as Questionable after the game. That's a major concern for the Minnesota backfield. Aaron Jones also scored in 30 snaps (10 PPR). T.J. Hockenson caught 4 passes for 36 yards and a TD (13.6 PPR).

Green Bay's offense was busy despite the loss. Jordan Love threw for 387 yards and 2 TDs on only 21 completions — 50% completion rate and 4 sacks taken (20.48 points). Christian Watson was the big play machine: 6 catches for 147 yards and 2 TDs including an 81-yarder (32.7 PPR). That's a massive performance. Matthew Golden caught 6 of 12 targets for 95 yards (15.5 PPR). Tucker Kraft added 3 catches for 65 yards (9.5 PPR). Jonnu Smith caught both targets for 50 yards including a 43-yarder (7 PPR).

Looking ahead: Jefferson and Watson were both elite — lock them in. Mason's injury is the biggest concern from this game; if he misses time, Jones's value jumps significantly. Watson is a boom-bust WR1 depending on whether the deep ball stays hot.

Washington Commanders 22 at Philadelphia Eagles 24

A tight division game with quality fantasy production on both sides. Dallas Goedert was the Eagles' top performer: 4 catches on 5 targets, 77 yards, 2 TDs (23.7 PPR). Jalen Hurts threw for 203 yards and 3 TDs but also took 3 sacks (24.72 points) — efficient without needing big rushing numbers. Saquon Barkley ran 15 times for 83 yards including a 42-yarder (9 PPR) — got into the open field but no TD. Dontayvion Wicks caught 2 passes for 73 yards and a TD in 50 snaps (15.3 PPR) and is generating waiver buzz as a result. DeVonta Smith caught 3 of 6 targets for 53 yards (8.3 PPR).

Washington kept it close. Jayden Daniels threw for 164 yards and 2 TDs but completed just 52.9% (17.66 points). Stefon Diggs caught 4 of 9 targets for 55 yards and a TD — 3 drops are a serious concern (15.5 PPR). Antonio Williams popped with 4 catches for 64 yards and a TD in limited snaps (16.4 PPR) — worth monitoring for target share. Jacory Croskey-Merritt led the backfield with 16 carries, 63 yards, and a TD (12.6 PPR). Rachaad White played in a clear backup role.

Looking ahead: Goedert is an elite TE1. Wicks is a legitimate waiver add. Diggs' drop rate is alarming and needs to improve — buy low if you can, but don't ignore it. Croskey-Merritt holds the lead-back role for now.

Dallas Cowboys 20 at New York Giants 28

The Giants upset the Cowboys in a game where the rookie quarterback shined. Jaxson Dart put up 26.6 fantasy points — 230 yards, 3 TDs, 79.3% completion rate, and 54 rushing yards. Clean debut. Isaiah Likely was the fantasy star: 8 catches on 8 targets, 78 yards, 2 TDs (27.8 PPR). The target share was elite. Cam Skattebo was the featured back with 18 carries, 81 yards, 1 TD (14.1 PPR). Devin Singletary contributed 4 catches and a TD in a committee role (13.8 PPR). Malik Nabers caught 6 of 9 targets for 69 yards (12.9 PPR).

Dallas's offense underperformed. Dak Prescott was fine — 175 yards, 2 TDs — but his 5.15 YPA and 1 INT were suboptimal (15.4 points). Javonte Williams was the best Cowboys fantasy contributor: 12 carries, 41 yards, 2 TDs, 5 catches (24.2 PPR). CeeDee Lamb caught 5 of 8 targets for 44 yards and a TD (15.4 PPR) — solid but below his ceiling. George Pickens caught 3 of 6 targets for 28 yards — 2 drops (5.8 PPR).

Looking ahead: Dart and Likely look like a real connection to exploit in fantasy. Skattebo holds the RB1 role in New York. Lamb and Williams are both startable, though Dallas's passing offense needs more efficiency from Prescott. Pickens' drops are concerning in his first game as a Cowboy.

Denver Broncos 10 at Kansas City Chiefs 31

The Monday night blowout belonged entirely to Kansas City. Kenneth Walker was the fantasy monster of the week: 23 carries, 173 yards, 1 rushing TD (including a 60-yarder), 3 catches, 18 yards, 1 receiving TD (34.1 PPR). Dominant, bell-cow, touchdown machine. Patrick Mahomes did just enough — 184 yards, 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD — for 22.66 points while managing the game. Travis Kelce had 3 catches for 71 yards including a 59-yarder (10.1 PPR) — limited in a game that didn't need him to do more. Rashee Rice caught both his targets for 19 yards and a TD (9.9 PPR). Emmett Johnson added 8 carries and 2 catches in a complementary role (8.8 PPR).

Denver was overwhelmed. Bo Nix finished with 6.44 fantasy points — 131 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 3 fumbles (1 lost), 4 sacks. The turnover issues are severe. RJ Harvey had just 3 carries in the backfield, with J.K. Dobbins getting 8 carries for 36 yards as the lead back. Evan Engram caught 4 passes for 43 yards and a TD (14.3 PPR), the only real fantasy bright spot for Denver. Pat Bryant added 4 catches for 42 yards (8.2 PPR).

Looking ahead: Walker is a true RB1 and the Chiefs offense runs through him. Mahomes' production is real but efficient rather than volume-heavy. Denver's backfield committee and Nix's turnover issues make their skill players difficult to trust until things stabilize.
